| My beautiful sister-in-law asked me to make a rose scented soap. Since we don't use fragrance oils, I knew this would be tricky. Rose essential oils exist but they are prohibitively expensive (no one wants to pay $30 for a bar of soap that smells a LITTLE like rose). Thanks to a LOT of research and one very helpful employee of the local soap supply store, we came up with a combination of rose petals, rosewood and geranium essential oils that smell better than roses by themselves could hope to. Blended into our very popular "Lollypop" recipe (same as Lavender Fields Forever), this soap is luxurious and fragrant and very, very feminine. Ingredient List: Saponified Palm, Coconut, Olive, Rice Bran and Palm Kernel oils with Rosewood and Geranium essential oils and dry rose petals. |
