Soap of the Day: Scents of Adventure

Making soap is shockingly messy business. At the end of the process - after the bars are cut and have sat and dried and have been trimmed down to proper size, there are TONS of little chunks of otherwise perfectly good soap left over. What to do with THESE??? Sami just couldn't bear to toss them out so what happened instead is this little bit of heavenly genius. Why not melt the left over bits all together and see what magic is created?

Be forewarned - these economical soaps are lovingly (and accurately) referred to as the "Gateway drugs." Proceed with caution. You may find yourself fully addicted to the awesomeness and mystery of these soaps.

Made In Washington

Back in 1984, Gillian and Jack Mathews opened the first Made In Washington store at Seattle's Pike Place Market. As years have passed, they have prospered and grown into four other locations in the Pacific North West. Much like Pip & Lola's, they have a very big variety of products that originate or are "Made in Washington" (hence the name). Yet, they still dedicate themselves to strive towards hitting their ideals of that first store: "Offering a wide variety of quality products which celebrate the very best of Washington state". 

Pip & Lola's have been invited to hold and sell their products there, along with other vendors around the state of Washington, as a means of wholesale. Being involved with Made in Washington has facilitated not only Pip & Lola's soap popularity/sales, but has also helped seam the communities of Washington to a close and comfortable knit.
