I am promoting my blog but have to put a weird code in it so a remote computer can find it. Let's see what happens when I do this
And on the first day Sami created . . . soap
Welcome to the first posting in our brand new Pip & Lola blog. Here you will find pictures, upcoming products and we will take you "behind the scenes" in the excited world of Pip & Lola.
Pip & Lola's began as a hobby. I loved making soap. I learned about soap-making from The Soap Crone http://www.soapcrone.com/ who was also a member of a writing forum I belonged to. I bought several of her soaps and also her soap-making e-book. I was hooked instantly.
Cut forward 5 years and I was making soaps as cast and Holiday gifts. Friends and family loved their soaps soo much that I decided to "go pro."
I named the company Pip & Lola after my 2 youngest children: Perrin (Pip) age 2 and Lorelai (Lola) age 4. I had to work countless jobs outside of the home when my older three children (18, 20 & 22) were growing up that I just couldn't bear the thought of doing that to the "second batch." My goal with Pip & Lola's is to make enough money creating a quality product, doing something I enjoy and feel proud of and still be able to stay home with the kidlets.
And here we find ourselves.
Our Etsy and Hyena Cart stores open officially on March 1, 2011. We are building our inventory and have been taking pictures of the process. We have a Pip & Lola's Facebook Page which has lots of the photos and I will post those here as well in the coming days and weeks.
Thank you so much for taking this journey with us. It is going to be interesting if nothing else.
Love and all that jazz,
Sami
